Our advanced fourth-generation low-cost video information overlay OSD module, with greatly enhanced font flexibility as well as bitmap and vector graphics display features. Printable ASCII text and commands drive BOB-4 through fast SPI or 'TTL-232' style serial data links. Two hardware versions are now available.
XBOB-4 expands Decade's fourth-generation video overlay OSD technology (see BOB-4) into a convenient plug & play format (cabinet optional), with BNC video jacks, 9-pin serial com port, coaxial DC power jack, and front-panel controls.
Our tiny Camera Adapter Board drives long coaxial video cables with robust pre-equalization. CAB corrects low frequency losses that cause loss of contrast, brightness, and sync stability, as well as high frequency losses that degrade color and clarity in remote video systems.
COG-5
A versatile video data overlay board for composite and Y/C (S-Video) remote inspection systems. COG-5 operates stand-alone, with a PC-compatible USB keyboard as the operator interface, but also accommodates RS-232 remote control. Inputs are provided for a distance encoder, camera pan/tilt angle sensors, compass sensor, etc. Analog outputs are provided to control pan/tilt platforms. [Preliminary COG-5 Application Guide]
COG-5 offers a very short migration path for customers currently using COG-4, which has been discontinued. Decade Engineering expects initial customer shipments of COG-5 to commence in the third quarter of 2009. Until a COG-5 Operator's Guide is available, the COG-4 Operator's Guide is a good resource for additional product information.
XBOB-4E
An extended version of our XBOB-4 video data overlay generator, equipped with 32-bit distance encoder interface. Ideal for PC-hosted video inspection of pipelines, boreholes, and other applications where distance data must be combined with video. Third-party application software support for pipeline inspection is currently provided by Flexidata, POSM, Wincan, and others. XBOB-4E retains most features of the standard XBOB-4, including RS-232 serial communication with a host computer. Available with or without cabinet. [XBOB-4E Application Guide]
XBOB-4S
A simple stand-alone distance display version of XBOB-4E. XBOB-4S does not normally communicate with a host computer, but may be calibrated for most distance encoders via temporary PC hookup. BNC video connectors. Not available with cabinet (sold as PCB assembly only). [XBOB-4S Application Guide]
